SMS Terms & Conditions
The rules for text messages, in the order you will want them.
Last updated 2026-09-04
The programme
Ryan Smith DDS sends text messages to people who have asked for them: waitlist notifications for a course, scheduling and follow-up for coaching, and support for something you have bought.
It is not a broadcast marketing list. You will not be added to it because you bought something, and you will not receive messages about a topic you did not raise.
How you opt in
You opt in by entering your mobile number in a form on this site and ticking the consent box next to it. The box is never ticked for you, and the form works perfectly well if you leave it alone.
Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase. You do not have to agree to texts to buy a course, book coaching, or get any help from me.
You can also opt in by texting a keyword to the programme number, if you have been given one, or by asking me directly in writing.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies, and depends on what you asked for. Most people receive a handful of messages tied to a single thing — a waitlist opening, a scheduled call — rather than an ongoing stream.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. The messages themselves are free from me; whatever your mobile plan charges for receiving a text is between you and your carrier.
How to stop
Reply STOP to any message. You can also send STOP, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE or QUIT. You will get one final message confirming you have been removed, and then nothing further.
Opting out of text messages does not unsubscribe you from email, and does not affect access to anything you have bought. If you opt out and later want back in, just opt in again.
How to get help
Reply HELP to any message and you will get a reply with contact details. You can always email support@ryansmithdds.com instead.
Carriers
Supported carriers include AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost, U.S. Cellular, MetroPCS, Cricket, Virgin Mobile and others.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Message delivery is best-effort and depends on your carrier and your device. Do not rely on a text message for anything time-critical.
Who can sign up
You must be 18 or older, and the mobile number you enter must be yours. Do not enter someone else's number.
If you give up a number or change it, tell me, so a message meant for you does not go to whoever gets the number next.
Privacy
Your number is used to send you the messages you asked for and nothing else. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. The full detail is in the https://ryansmithdds.com/privacy-policy.
Changes
These terms can change. The date at the top of the page changes with them, and anything material is sent to you as a message before it takes effect.
How to reach me
Questions about the text message programme, or about information you have shared, go to support@ryansmithdds.com. I read that address myself.
