Cookie Policy
What this site stores in your browser, and how to get rid of it.

The short version
This site sets no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking cookies. Resource access and member sign-in use first-party cookies. Optional course referral remembering is offered separately at checkout and starts only when you choose it.
What this site actually uses
- Local storage for the calculators under /tools, so refreshing the page does not wipe the numbers you typed. It stays in your browser, it is never transmitted to me, and clearing your browser data removes it.
- The resource-library access cookie (rs_access, with a companion rs_ok flag), set only when you sign up for the library. It lasts a year, is first-party, and lets the download endpoint recognise you so the file opens and the download is logged to your record. Delete it and the library simply asks for your email again.
- The member session cookie (rs_session), set only when you sign in with an emailed link. It is an opaque identifier for a session stored on my server, lasts 90 days, is first-party, and is what keeps you signed in to course support, the community and your profile. Signing out deletes the session; deleting the cookie has the same effect.
- Optional course referral remembering (rs_course_referral) stores a signed partner code, with no buyer identity, for the period shown at checkout (up to 90 days). It helps attribute a later course purchase to the partner. It is first-party and starts only when you choose Remember this referral. Uncheck that option or remove the referral to delete it. Demo workspaces use local browser storage for sample records and remembered sample referrals; no real purchase or account is created.
- Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views without setting a cookie or an identifier. It cannot follow you to another site.
- Standard server logs at the host, which are not cookies but do record IP addresses for security.
Video
YouTube embeds are click-to-play. Nothing is requested from YouTube, and YouTube sets nothing on your device, until you click play. Once you do, YouTube's own cookies and policies apply.
Advertising
There are no advertising, retargeting or conversion tags on this site today. If that changes, this page will be updated first, and the date at the top will change with it.
Controlling it
Every browser lets you block and delete cookies and clear local storage, usually under privacy settings. Blocking everything will not break this site — it will only mean the calculators forget your numbers between visits and the resource library asks for your email each time.
