By the time your CPA's P&L lands on your desk, the month is already closed and the data is nearly sixty days old. This report is built around the numbers you can actually review the same week: burdened labor cost against collections, the collections engine, and the adjustments and write-off report, plus the two KPIs the KPI article itself marks as a weekly review.
The spreadsheet is a running weekly log. Type in this week's numbers in the sky-filled input columns and every ratio to the right calculates itself: collections percentage, the collections-to-payroll multiple, the contractual write-off percentage, and hygiene reappointment rate, each checked against the target the source article states. Nothing is hard-typed. The Notes sheet says exactly which sentence in which article each formula and target comes from, including the two ratios that had to be defined from the article's wording because no explicit formula was given.
The one-page PDF is the fifteen-minute version: the three numbers to review every Friday and the two KPIs reviewed weekly, with their targets, so you know what you are looking for before you open the spreadsheet.
What's inside
- XLSX: a Weekly Log sheet, one row per week, with an Inputs block (production, collections, payroll, AR aging, adjustments, hygiene counts) and a Results block of formulas
- XLSX: a Notes sheet citing the source sentence behind every formula and target, and naming the KPIs left out because their own article marks them monthly, not weekly
- PDF: a one-page summary of the three weekly numbers and the two weekly KPIs, with targets and who reviews them
How to use it
- Every Friday, open the spreadsheet and add a new row with that week's date.
- Fill in the sky-filled input cells from your schedule, ledger, and AR aging report. Leave a cell blank if you do not track it that week.
- Read the Results columns to the right: each one already carries its target in the text, such as "on target" or "below target."
- Keep the one-page PDF next to the spreadsheet the first few weeks as a reminder of what to pull before you sit down.
- Check the Notes sheet any time a target looks unfamiliar. It names the exact source for every number.
