A great office doesn't run on memory, it runs on checklists. This is the set I use: what gets checked every day, what gets reviewed every week, and what gets audited at month-end.

The PDF is the print-and-post version, grouped the same way the article lays it out: a daily list split into morning routine, throughout the day, and end of day, then a weekly list and a monthly list. The spreadsheet turns the same items into a tracker with a column for who owns each task, whether it's done, and a place for notes.

Nothing here is invented. Every line is a task the article names for that cadence.

What's inside

  • PDF: daily checklist (morning routine, throughout the day, end of day), weekly checklist, monthly checklist, each with a checkbox per item
  • XLSX: a Daily sheet, a Weekly sheet, and a Monthly sheet, each with Section, Task, Owner, Done, and Notes columns
  • XLSX: a Notes sheet naming which article section each sheet's items came from

How to use it

  1. Print the PDF and post it where the front desk and office manager will actually see it, or use the spreadsheet if your team tracks tasks digitally.
  2. Assign an owner to every task. An unowned item does not get done.
  3. Work the daily list every day, the weekly list once a week, and the monthly list at month-end.
  4. In the spreadsheet, mark Done and add a note any time an item gets skipped or needs follow-up, so the pattern shows up over time.
