Community guidelines

Short and practical. It takes a minute to read.

  1. 01

    Be specific

"My collections dropped" helps nobody. "Collections fell from 96% to 88% after we switched billing software" gets a useful answer. Numbers, context, and what you already tried.

  2. 02

    Keep patients unidentifiable

Never post a patient's name, date of birth, chart number, or a full-face photo. Clinical photos and radiographs are welcome once all of that is cropped out. Photos lose their location and camera details automatically when they upload, but what is in the picture is on you.

  3. 03

    Do not sell

This is a room for dentists helping dentists. Recommending something you actually use is fine. Pitching it, or joining to pitch it, is not.

  4. 04

Disagree with the idea, not the person

Strong opinions about numbers, systems and clinical calls are welcome. Attacks on the person holding them are not.

  5. 05

    Earn points by being useful

Points come from reactions to what you write, answers that get accepted and challenges you finish. Reacting to your own posts earns nothing, and a moderator removes posts written only to climb the board.

  6. 06

    What gets removed

Patient-identifying information, selling, personal attacks, and anything illegal or clearly off topic. A moderator may retitle a thread for clarity, lock one that has run its course, or remove a post or reply outright. Posts that trip the spam filter wait for a moderator before anyone else sees them.
